"find a mentor" daw. oh deh sige, ayan nagsikap akong mag-hanap ng mentor... and I found Betsey Johnson. i've always found her interesting. her designs are unique, loud and vintage inspired. she was a breast cancer survivor and she's doing her part to help in breast cancer research and awareness.
for future reference, here are some links to interesting biographies of Betsey Johnson:

everybody who is new to something would need a mentor who would serve as a guide, someone to look up to, someone who could serve as your inspiration. i chose betsey johnson because she does a somersault whenever she has a runway show. i love it that she's so young even if she already has 2 grand daughters. and i love it that she uses bold colors. she's not like ralph lauren who designs the obvious and normal polo shirts. ralph lauren is the richest designer, i think, because he caters to the general public. betsy johnson's patrons have attitude.
honestly, i don't think everyone is capable of wearing my clothes. i create clothes for myself and the only person who could pull off this look is me. galing. eh kasi naman sino bang tao ang papasok sa school na nakapantulog diba. although i've been complemented by a bunch of strangers already, kinakabahan pa rin akong ipakita sa buong mundo ang aking mga gawa dahil baka laitin lang ng nakararami... oh well... haha... goodluck na lang sa akin.
ReplyDeletehaven't tried seriously selling my stuff online. siguro pag topakin ako susubukan ko magbenta sa pinoy bentahan sites para hindi hassle sa shipping. i'm still exploring my options and still trying to educate myself. baby steps muna... sana makarating ako sa goal ko ^_^
ReplyDeletehaha so far wala pakong items na for sale. lahat ng pants ko worn out na at may mga butas pa ng sulfuric acid at methanol. nagpapractice pa ako magtahi. in a few months may pants at dresses nakong mabebenta ^_^ hay... sana... naku julie naeexcite din ako pero kinakabahan at the same time. karir na ito
ReplyDeletemavs, what do you expect. eh well known designer yan. naku kakayanin ko kayang magbenta? eh kasi naman pinapakyaw nga ng kontra ang mga earrings ko pero puro TY lang binibayad sakin :p haha!
